The Datalabs Agency is happy to announce the launch of its AI animation studio underneath the brand Oddtoe.
As regular guests of the Datalabs website might recognize, Oddtoe provides much of the illustrated artwork and social media imagery for the agency. A new generative AI workflow, developed in-house during the first six months of 2023, is now ready and will provide Oddtoe the ability to launch numerous animated properties and character-driven IP, taking on much larger studios.
The integration of generative A.I. into existing animation workflows is a huge challenge. The migration of A.I. into the entertainment industry is a challenge. Feeding the right data to a curiously-talented storyteller that happens to be a “bot”? That is a professional skill.
The Oddtoe AI animation studio will produce original stories in addition to working on films, TV series, and commercials as a collaborator for hire.
Running with the tagline, “More humor. Less violence. More intelligence.”, Oddtoe’s first project, the eponymous TV comedy, Oddtoe, is slated for launch in October of 2023.
Oddtoe will concentrate much of the first year developing animation for kids and adults, plus short-form videos for documentaries.
Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, a presence in the Los Angeles area is currently being scouted.
