The Best Data Analytics & Data Science Conferences in 2024 & 2025
The Data Analytics & Data Science Conferences Guide 2024/2025 is your one-stop shop for conferences you actually want to go to. These are great conferences in cool cities. It’s a simple equation.
Plan your next conference trip today if you’re lucky enough to travel. But in this list of the best data conferences worldwide, we’re going everywhere regardless of cost. This year, we’ve got a lot of cool AI conferences. (However, let’s not look beyond the human needs abilities in data science.) In addition, we have our first engineering and architecture conference for data folks. And of course, there are still the words “Big Data” in a few conference titles. Also always there are new conferences, new entrants to our Top 12.
So which of these 13 conferences would you log into? If you could go anywhere in the world — where would you go?
The great thing is you don’t have to go everywhere. The best analytics conferences have enhanced their streaming and interactive content.
So treat yourself to some “me” time this year and plan for the future with our list of 13 of the best analytics and data conferences to go to this year.
February 2025
AI Everything
February 5th, 6th, 2025 — Dubai, U.A.E. (onsite and virtual)
Dubai’s AI Everything conference is the epicenter of the AI world for two days (opening summit is in nearby Abu Dhabi on February 4th). This conference promises to bring “THE WORLD TO THE LARGEST AI EVENT ON THE PLANET”. All caps. I’m all in.
It’s a big vision. But it’s hard not to buy into the potential for this conference to help achieve that vision. If you’ve ever been to Dubai, Qatar, or Singapore, you can appreciate what true government backing can do for innovation.
This year’s conference focuses on a broader audience than most other conferences. Investors and start-ups are a huge audience for the UAE government, so it makes sense that this bell-weather conference is appealing to them in their marketing. The takeaway: this is a big place to do your global deals. So go for the thinking and sign some agreements and business deals at lunch.
AI & Big Data Expo
February 5th & 6th, 2025 — London, England (onsite and virtual)
Who knows where data and analytics will be at the end of any year. But year after year, the AI & Big Data Expo tries to point out the likely futures of this fast-moving industry.
Speakers in the past have included representatives from the GSK, BBC, Dell, Rolls Royce, AstraZeneca, and Bank of America. So do expect something for everyone, especially if you’re in the automotive, media, technology, pharma, and finance sectors.
London is in February is a tough sell. But this analytics conference has something to warm your digital cockles. Check out the topics this year’s conference is shouting about:
Responsible AI, Ethical AI, AI Against Hackers, AI Led Personalization, Data Monetization, Data Quality Management, Enterprise Adoption of AI, The Augmented Workforce, The Rise of AIOps and Embracing AI to Drive Digital Transformation.
World Artificial Intelligence Cannes Festival
February 13th to the 15th, 2025 — Cannes, France (onsite and virtual)
Who says being a data scientist isn’t sexy? You get to go to Cannes.
This is quite a conference and not only because of its location, in the beautiful south of France. Europe’s and indeed the world’s data experts will mingle, collaborate, and share their knowledge at the Palais des festivals.
Boasting over 16,000 in-person and online attendees for the 2024 conference, the World AI Cannes Festival (WAICF) is one of the largest conferences on this list.
In only its fourth edition, the 2025 Festival lists sessions touching on a wide array of machine learning topics. A few choice titles from WACF’s previous programs included specialties in climate change, fraud, and manufacturing. And as expected, the heavy-weight companies of Europe are in the South of France show up for this conference: Huawei, HP, IBM, and Intel just to name a few.
So look out for the 2025 program and have a think as to whether you want to spend February by the Mediterranean Sea…
March 2025
MIT’s Sloan Sports Analytics Conference
March 7th & 8th, 2025 — Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. (also held virtually)
Early March means one thing on the analytics conference scene — sports. MIT’s Sloan Sports Analytics Conference is the perfect place to learn how analytics and machine learning are applied in athletics. Speakers come from a variety of industries and backgrounds, and to look at the coverage of sporting teams they come from, one can only be impressed: football (both world soccer and American gridiron), basketball, rugby, surfing, cricket, baseball, and more.
Some notable speakers at the previous conferences, including the one in 2024: Gary Vaynerchuk, Nate Silver, and Malcolm Gladwell. Plus, senior executives from Netflix, Twitter, and Amazon will speak on consumer data and the sports fans’ perspectives.
Notable names in the past: The Commissioner of the National Women’s Soccer League, a data scientist at the ESPN network, and the Vice President of Amazon’s Global Sports Video.
So if you’re interested in both sports and data, mark these (probable dates) on your calendar now for MIT’s Sloan Sports Analytics Conference.
May 2025
World Data Summit
May 21st to the 23rd, 2025 — Amsterdam, Netherlands (onsite and virtual)
Amsterdam in May is a good reason to go to this conference. But let’s keep it professional. Again, the conference in 2025 has a strong focus on these four areas: Open AI & Metadata Management, Customer Experience & Retention, Ethics & Privacy in Data & AI, and LLM Implementation. This conference spans a full three days. EY, Google, Shell, and Amazon are all sending speakers.
This year’s conference seeks to tackle a few intriguing areas. And few of my favorites:
- Data Literacy and Leadership: How to Create Frictionless Data Literacy for Business
- Forecasting Consumer Behaviour Based on Data
This conference tends to be more technical and less showy than say the World AI Cannes Festival. But it also tends to buck the trends and dive deeper into some foundational areas of “Big Data”.
June 2025
Big Data & Analytics Summit Canada
June 4th & 5th, 2025— Toronto, Canada (onsite and virtual)
It’s summertime in North America, so we’re switching our focus to Canada for this long-held summit (at least by data conference standards). The Big Data & Analytics Summit in Canada is now in its eleventh year. Looking at the conference speaker list, this conference again has the widest spread of expert knowledge: There are more industries here than in most conferences. Real estate, education, tech, and manufacturing all share the same roof.
Held again in Toronto, this is one of the Top 3 North American conferences. Attendees agree.
August 2025
Ai4 2025
August 11th through the 13th, 2025 — Las Vegas, U.S.A. (onsite at the MGM Grand and virtual)
Out of the pack of data analytics conferences in 2025, this conference is again bigger than life — it sells itself more as an event than a staid-old conference. I don’t know if it’s Ai4’s website, promoting the conference. Or it’s this conference’s general vibe. Again, this conference has heavy thinkers, and I like that. This conference is also held in Las Vegas, which makes it kinda cool.
Held in the MGM Grand Hotel again this year, this conference has a lot going for it. Time Warner are here. Comcast, too. Check out a presentation from the Chief Data, Analytics and Emerging Technologies Officer from the United Nations. Then hear about from the Godfather of AI, Geoffrey Hinton, about the global risks with the technology he helped pioneer.
For more, take a look at this year’s conference speaker list.
Health Innovation Community 2025
August 18th to the 20th, 2025 — Melbourne, Australia (also held virtually)
The Health Innovation Community summit is one of the first major data analytics conferences in the healthcare industry. Melbourne is the city for the conference and Federation Square is the venue hosting to some of Asia Pacific’s (and the world’s) foremost experts in healthcare AI and IT programme management.
This healthcare conference (put on by the Australasian Institute of Digital Health) brings together hospitals, government, and private-sector analytics companies. Together, these groups hold knowledge about the current and future use of data in healthcare. This conference has an IT bend to it. But don’t that dissuade you — the speakers all come from the ‘fronts’ of the data and healthcare fields.
July 2025
Transform 2025
July ?, 2025 — San Francisco, California, U.S.A., but also global (virtual)
We’re still waiting for the 2025 version of Venture Beat’s Transform conference to be posted. However, as you would expect from a conference in San Francisco, some heavy-weight companies will be sending their best and brightest. This will be the third year of the Transform conference, formed from a merger of another analytics conference that made our list in 2022.
AB InBev, Zendeck, Citi, Microsoft, and Slack are all sent speakers to the 2024 conference. Easily one of the most esteemed list of speakers. But how about the speeches and workshops? As you would expect, lots of generative AI panels. Cybersecurity and risk analysis get some airtime. Overall, this is a future-looking program from the VentureBeat crew.
Gartner Data Analytics Summit
July 17th & 18th, 2025 — Sydney, Australia (onsite and virtual)
Visit Australia in the “winter”. The Southern Hemisphere hosts some of the best data analytics conferences, and 2025 looks better than 2024. We’re back in Sydney for the self-serving Gartner conference. I’m always distrustful of the Big Consultancy conferences. I want to learn, not be sold to. That said, a vast portion of this analytics world we live in is put together by these folks (and others), and I like to know what’s going on. The topics for 2025 still look good, perhaps better than last year, especially in the AI space.
For me, these are the ‘priorities’ to pay attention to.
- The Foundation of a Modern Data and Analytics Strategy
- 10 Best Practices for Scaling Generative AI Across the Enterprise
So come Down Under, see the Opera House, and get your geek on at this or another Gartner conference like it.
October 2025
Marketing Analytics & Data Science
Late October, 2025 (dates TBA) — San Diego, California, U.S.A. (onsite and virtual)
To the West Coast of the United States, we go. This list always includes a great analytics conference that focuses solely on marketing. Here’s that conference: the Marketing Analytics & Data Science conference.
The year previous, the conference merged with Content Marketing World (also run by the Content Marketing Institute). The conference promises to “be a gathering of end-to-end marketing professionals that includes strategists, content creators, marketing insights professionals, and data scientists.”
Last year, the program laid out like this:
- Improve marketing ROI
- Understand customer behavior
- Get ahead on AI
- Communicate data insights
The last bullet point was our favorite. (However, no one gives better data visualization & storytelling training than we do.)
Cisco, Audi, and LinkedIn , IBM, Nissan, the U.S. Army — they all sent people to this conference in previous years in Washington, DC (2023) and in San Diego (2024). Keep a look at when this year’s speakers get announced.
November 2025
Re-Work — Deep Learning Summit
Early November, 2025 — London, England (onsite and virtual)
DeepMind and OpenAI spoke in previous years at the Deep Learning Summit — will they be here again in 2025? The answer is a probable ‘yes.’ The conference topics at the Deep Learning Summit always vary, but here’s what they looked like in 2024: Deep Learning Use Cases, Meta-Learning, Neural Networks, Machine Learning, Deep Learning Algorithms, NLP, Autonomous Vehicles and Robotics. The Deep Learning Summit often has multiple presentations going on at once. It promotes the fact as:
“Multiple tracks to encourage cross-industry learnings & collaboration.”
It’s a very good thing for you that they’re offering On-Demand Access post-event to re-watch any sessions that you either missed or want to go back to again (because you were scratching your head the first time around).
This London conference has some top presentations. Keep it marked on your calendar if you line in or are kicking about in Europe in the tail end of 2025.
Machine Learning Week Europe
Late November, 2025 — Munich, Germany (onsite and virtual)
If you are still in Europe, why not go to a second conference? Munich hosted the last Machine Learning Conference in 2024 and the Machine Learning Week Europe (MLWE) conference is slated for a new city in 2025 (TBA).
MLWE streams for last year’s conference?
- Business Case Studies;
- Industry Case Studies;
- Tech/Deep Dives.
These are a bit bland, eh? Where are all the AI, robots, and lasers that the other analytics conferences promote?
Oh, well. Interested in more hands-on training? Have a look at the previous year’s deep-dive workshops at the conference.
